Sam Johnson

I completed my training to become a Certified Rolfer in 1989 at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado. I completed the Advanced Rolfing training in 1999. I have maintained a practice in Dallas since 1989.

My pre-Rolfing background is in psychology - I received a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M in 1981 and later worked in a variety of counseling related jobs.I have received advanced training at the Rolf Institute on working with the interaction between fascia and nerve function, on how perception and patterns of movement affect structure, and on the resolution of trauma.

One thing I love about Rolfing is that the effects are so general - it can benefit athletes and dancers, people suffering from chronic pain, those looking for personal insight, healing, or resolution of the effects of trauma, and people who have no particular complaints but are simply interested in feeling healthier.

In my free time I can be found training for my first triathlon, looking for my golf ball somewhere in the rough, searching for a river in which to flyfish, or heading to Austin to explore the Hill Country.
